Precise and long-lasting –
engine components from GUIDO

The company’s focus from the very start has always been on the production of components for combustion engines. Over the decades GUIDO has come to concentrate on fuel injection systems and is today one of the world’s leading companies in the field of diesel fuel injection systems. High pressure pipes, the valve train and valve push rods, in combination with engine brake systems such as Jake brakes, are the components which make up the company’s product range.

Along with the engine’s air system it is the fuel injection system which has the greatest influence on the reduction of harmful emissions and a significant influence on the consumption of the combustion engine (keyword: CO2 reductions). Over the last two decades the standards covering exhaust emissions have become increasingly stricter throughout the world. A whole host of new product developments from GUIDO have made a contribution to meeting these standards. Over this period, for example, the maximum injection pressure in modern diesel engines has quadrupled. As for the valve train, there was a need to find a way of coping with the constantly increasing engine brake forces. Over the lifecycle of an engine, today’s high-performance push rods from GUIDO are capable of transferring dynamic forces, which often amount to several tonnes, hundreds of millions of times over.

We develop and manufacture the following products:

• High pressure fuel injection lines with outer diameters ranging from 4 to 15 mm for dynamic pressure loads up to and over 3,000 bar with a static burst strength of up to well over 10,000 bar.
• Shielded fuel injection pipes, also known as double walled fuel injection pipes or sheathed/shielded marine fuel injection pipes, in accordance with regulations covering use in unmanned engine rooms in boats; including certification from recognised classification and certification organisations if required.
• Three-piece valve push rods comprised of a shaft and two ended pieces which are formed to customer specifications, case hardened and welded onto the shaft. On request the shaft can also be supplied in the form of a lightweight hollow tubular shaft, which offers advantages in terms of the dynamics of the valve train.
• Pipe clamps, braces and vibration dampers for high pressure fuel injection lines and other pipes exposed to high stresses on combustion engines.
• Custom lines in accordance with customer specifications.
